Overall we are having a good summer at the pools.  Some issues are starting to pop up as they usually do this time of the season when residents like to voice their concerns.  Here are some issues that have come up at different pools so I am making general reminders for everyone:

1.  You are all doing a great job with passess, please keep it up and do not allow anyone into the pool without a proper pass.

2.  Pool responsibilities:  At every pool you are responsible for cleaning the pool and pool area.  Reminder weekends are mandatory vacuum days and during the week as needed, yet most pools this year have required a vac everyday.  You are also responsible for upkeep of the pool deck, check for debris or lost and found items daily.  We are responsible for taking garbage out at most pools, please remember to put bags in when you take out the garbage.  Also check to make sure bathrooms are neat and functioning properly.

3.  There is NO RUNNING at any pool.  Do not allow children or adults to run.  They should definitely not be running and then jumping into the pool.  Continue to enforce the rules.

4.  You are responsible for taking chemical readings on the hour for all of the pools at your site. That includes baby pools and spas. There is no excuse for not taking and recording readings accurately. Also as mentioned before once a day you must do a combined chlorine reading for each pool. That is the difference between the DPD1 and DPD 3 readings. It should not be more than .5 if it is call me.

5.  If you have a health inspector come to the pool, I need to know about it immediately.  Even if you pass and there are no issues I need to be notified.  If there are things that need to be addressed I need to know that also.

6. If you are at a 2 guard pool, both guards should not eat at the same time.  If you are at a 1 guard pool please eat when you have no one in the water or wait til you have a minimum number of people.

7. When switching shifts please let me know. Also remember you are still supposed to be under 40hours from Wed-Wed.  If I scheduled you more than that please let me know, if you are picking up shifts count your hours.

8.  Get to work on time so that you may complete your maintenance prior to people arriving.

9.  When working half shifts please make sure to hand keys off.  Second guard do not wait til pool is closing to look for keys, ask for them when you arrive.

Please email me to let me know you have read these reminders.
